Reproducibility vs Replicability: What Was Actually Checked?

A repeated calculation and a new study provide different kinds of evidence. Here is how to read the claim behind “confirmed.”

What Does a Simulation Actually Prove?

A successful run is not the same as a trustworthy prediction. Separate model verification, validation and the evidence for a particular use.

Before going further, it is important to clarify what Noesynthesis is not.

Noesynthesis is not a new science.
It does not compete with physics, biology, psychology, or any other discipline.

It does not offer alternative technologies, medical treatments, or hidden explanations.

It is also not a belief system or an ideology.

So what is it?

Noesynthesis is a metascientific approach. That means it operates one level above specific sciences. Instead of studying phenomena directly, it studies how scientific explanations are formed, limited, and connected.

In practical terms, this involves asking questions such as:

  • What assumptions are shared across different scientific models?
  • Where do disciplinary explanations stop being compatible?
  • Why do some forms of knowledge integrate easily while others resist integration?

Noesynthesis does not seek final answers. Its role is structural: to clarify relationships, boundaries, and limits.

If a science explains what happens, Noesynthesis asks how such explanations are possible at all.
